Who we are
Pecan Retail is a marketplace retailer based in Austin, Texas. We buy inventory from brands outright, store and ship it from our own warehouse, and sell it on online marketplaces. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at partners@pecanretail.com.
Information you give us
If you book a call through the scheduling tool on this site, you provide your name, email address, time zone, and anything else you type into the booking form. If you email us, or apply for a role by emailing us, we receive whatever you choose to send, including any attachments such as a CV. We do not run a contact form on this site.
Information collected automatically
Our host records basic analytics about visits to this site: pages viewed, the site or search engine you arrived from, approximate location derived from your IP address, and general device and browser information. This is aggregate traffic data. We do not use it to build a profile of you or to identify you personally.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The scheduling tool embedded on the Partner Up section is served by Cal.com and sets a security cookie from its own provider to tell real visitors from bots. That cookie is set by Cal.com, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policy.
How we use information
We use what you send us to reply to you, to hold the call you booked, to evaluate job applications, and to keep records of our business relationships. We use traffic analytics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not use your information for automated decision making.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Framer, which hosts this website and provides its analytics, and Cal.com, which runs the booking calendar. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking records for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Job applications are kept for the duration of the hiring process and a period after it, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics data is retained by our host in aggregate form.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email partners@pecanretail.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the UK and EU GDPR. We will honour those rights where they apply to you.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing the text.
